Once you have invested in having your windows tinted, you will need to take certain precautions to make sure that the window film applied will give you years of trouble free solar protection and privacy.

You should only clean the window film with soapy water, and take care not to use strong glass cleaners or cream cleaners as they may break down the scratch protective layer over time and affect the appearance / structure of the film.

The use of paper towel is recommended.

FAQs

Q: ARE ALL WINDOW FILMS AVAILABLE ON THE MARKET TODAY OF THE SAME QUALITY?
A: There are many different variants of window films available for sale. Most of the films you will see available for sale on auction sites etc will be of poor quality and will only last a few months before blistering and turning purple. They are also very difficult to fit, as they will not heat shrink properly. Most professional window tint films are only available through certain dealer networks and will come fully guaranteed against blistering and fading.

Q: I HAVE HAD MY WINDOWS TINTED AND THERE IS A WHITE BAND AROUND THE EDGE OF THE REAR WINDOWS?
A: This is normal. Some cars have a very prominent dot matrix band which will only allow the tint film to sit over the dots, as opposed to between them. Some cars will have a less prominent dot matrix band round the edge of the bonded glass, so the film will sit over and between the dots a lot better. The white band can be reduced by running your finger over it around seven days after fitment.

Q: I HAVE JUST HAD MY WINDOWS TINTED AND THEY LOOK VERY STREAKY AND BLOTCHY?
A: because the tint film is fitted with a soap / slip solution, it can appear a bit streaky and blotchy for anything from four hours to seven days, depending on the weather and the outside temperatures.

Q: AM I ALLOWED TO HAVE MY FRONT DOOR GLASSES AND WINDSCREEN TINTED?
A: Please see our legality section on our web site for more information on this.

Q: IS THE TINT FILM FITTED TO THE INSIDE OR THE OUTSIDE OF THE GLASS?
A: The tint film is all fitted to the inside of the glass, although it is normally applied to the outside of the glass prior to fitting to get the shape / curve of the glass.
